Description
This Italian-manufactured Uberti reproduction of the historic Colt Model 1847 Walker is a single action percussion revolver chambered in .44 caliber. The firearm is configured with a 9 inch blued barrel and a blued six-shot cylinder featuring a roll-engraved scene of a battle between dragoons and Native Americans. The frame, hammer, and loading lever are finished in case-hardening, while the trigger guard and backstrap are constructed of polished brass. The revolver is fitted with smooth, one-piece wood grips and features a brass blade front sight with a notch rear sight integrated into the hammer. Key markings include the barrel top stamped CAL. 44 BLACK POWDER ONLY—MADE IN ITALY and the right side of the frame marked US 1847. Italian proof marks are present on the frame and barrel assembly, including the letters BF, a PN proof under a star, and a crest symbol. The serial number 08908 is stamped on the underside of the frame above a hexagonal proof mark. The item is accompanied by its original red pictorial manufacturer box from A. Uberti and C. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in very good condition with the blued finish on the barrel and cylinder showing only minor handling wear. The case-hardened finish on the frame and hammer remains vibrant, though light surface oxidation is present on the loading lever. The polished brass components show a light natural patina. The wood grips are well-preserved with a few minor handling marks. The bore is bright with crisp rifling. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The original pictorial box shows some edge wear and shelf wear consistent with age.
