Description
This Stevens Model 62 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered for .22 Long Rifle ammunition, featuring a 21-inch barrel and a blued metal finish. The firearm is mounted in a black synthetic stock with textured grip panels on the forend and pistol grip. It comes equipped with a silver-tone BSA 3-7×20 variable power scope, a fixed front blade sight, and an adjustable rear leaf sight. A black webbing sling is attached via swivel mounts, with the forward mount secured to the barrel via plastic cable ties. Key markings include the model designation on the barrel which reads STEVENS MODEL 62 CAL. .22 L.R. ONLY and MFG. IN CANADA BY SAVAGE ARMS, (CANADA) INC. followed by IMPORTED BY SAVAGE ARMS, INC. WESTFIELD, MA. 01085, U.S.A. The receiver is stamped with the serial number 0303483. The rifle includes one detachable box magazine featuring a red follower. Condition report:
The metal components retain a significant portion of their blued finish but show moderate surface scratches and areas of visible surface oxidation, particularly on the charging handle, barrel, and scope mounting hardware. The synthetic stock exhibits scattered dings, scuffs, and scratches consistent with field use. The bore was not inspected. The
