Description
This Daisy Red Ryder Carbine No. 111 Model 40 is a classic lever-action air rifle chambered for .177 caliber BBs. The rifle features a traditional carbine configuration with a black-finished steel receiver and barrel shroud, paired with a solid wood forearm and buttstock. The left side of the receiver is equipped with a classic saddle ring. The sighting system consists of a fixed front sight and an adjustable rear notch sight mounted to the top of the barrel shroud. Verbatim markings on the top of the receiver include DAISY RED RYDER CARBINE followed by NO. 111-MODEL 40-PATS. 880,555-1,062,855-OTHER PATS. PEND. and DAISY MFG CO. PLYMOUTH, MICHIGAN U.S.A. The wood buttstock is branded with a Red Ryder signature and a graphic depiction of the character on horseback. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in fair to good condition, showing significant signs of age and use. The metal components exhibit widespread scuffs, scratches, and finish loss, with areas of light surface oxidation present throughout. The wood furniture shows numerous dings and scratches, though the branded markings remain legible. The action appears to function mechanically, but we have not function-tested this air rifle for power or safety. The smoothbore barrel shows typical signs of age and light internal debris.
