Lot 1081:
A Lot of 150 Rounds of Fiocchi Extrema and Mixed Manufacturer .45 Auto Ammunition
Sold for: $60
Description
This lot consists of a total of 150 rounds of .45 Auto centerfire pistol ammunition. The collection features 50 rounds of Fiocchi Extrema 230-grain XTPHP (eXtreme Terminal Performance Hollow Point) ammunition, which are housed in their original clear plastic tray and factory cardboard box. Technical markings on the Fiocchi box specify FIOCCHI AMMUNITION, 45 AUTO, and 230 GRS. XTPHP. The individual Fiocchi rounds are constructed with brass cases and bear headstamps featuring a star symbol, the number 45, another star symbol, and the word AUTO. The remaining 100 rounds are contained in a red plastic storage case and represent a diverse mixture of manufacturers. Visible headstamps within this secondary collection include FEDERAL 45 AUTO, WINCHESTER 45 AUTO, PMC 45 AUTO, WESTERN 45 AUTO, NRP 45 AUTO, and R-P 45 AUTO. These mixed rounds include both brass and nickel-plated cases, and several cartridges exhibit red or green primer sealants consistent with factory or high-quality secondary loading. Projectile types within the mixed case appear to include both jacketed hollow point and full metal jacket configurations.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good overall condition, with cases showing varying levels of surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with long-term storage in a climate-controlled environment. All primers appear properly seated and show no signs of strikes or damage. The original Fiocchi cardboard box shows significant external wear, including several tears, repairs with clear tape, and multiple retail price and shipping labels. Both the internal clear plastic tray and the red plastic storage case are intact and remain fully functional for organization and transport.
