Description
This Remington Model 770 is a bolt-action sporting rifle chambered in .243 Winchester, designed as a reliable entry-level hunting platform. The rifle is equipped with a 22-inch tapered barrel and receiver, both featuring a matte black finish. It is mounted in a black synthetic stock with textured grip panels on the forend and wrist for a secure hold. The firearm features an upgraded Vortex Crossfire II 3-9×40 riflescope with a Dead-Hold BDC reticle, secured via rings to a Picatinny-style rail base. Additional features include a detachable box magazine, a Remington-branded rubber recoil pad, and a padded camouflage-patterned sling. Prominent markings include the manufacturer and model designation Remington MODEL 770 and the serial number M72109883 on the left side of the receiver. The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC. MAYFIELD, KY and 243 WIN, with proof marks including WJ and 83 visible near the receiver junction. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black finish on the metal components shows moderate surface wear with scattered areas of light oxidation, primarily on the receiver and the bolt handle. The black synthetic stock is in good overall condition, exhibiting only minor surface scuffs and handling marks consistent with field use. While the bore was not visually inspected, the bolt action appears to cycle smoothly; however, the firearm has not been function-tested or test-fired. The Vortex optics are clear and the reticle is well-defined. The camouflage sling shows minor fraying and light soiling.
