Lot 1103:
A Collection of 6 Sig Sauer P226 Semi-Automatic Pistol Magazines .357 SIG and .40 S&W
Sold for: $110
Description
This collection consists of six magazines manufactured for the Sig Sauer P226 semi-automatic pistol, designed for use with .357 SIG and .40 S&W cartridges. Each magazine is constructed of blued steel with a 12-round capacity and features a flat steel floor plate and a black polymer follower. Key markings on the side of the magazine bodies include the text SIG SAUER over P226 over .357 and .40. On the opposite side, the magazines are equipped with witness holes labeled with the numbers 5, 10, and 12, alongside the manufacturer mark MEC-GAR MADE IN ITALY located near the base. These double-stack magazines are designed with a tapered top to facilitate reliable feeding and are compatible with standard P226 service pistol variants in the specified calibers.
Condition report:
The magazines exhibit moderate signs of use and handling. The original blued finish shows visible thinning, scuffing, and finish loss along the high points and contact surfaces from regular insertion and extraction. Minor surface oxidation is present on several of the floor plates and along the seams of the magazine bodies. The polymer followers show typical light wear from ammunition contact but remain intact. Internal springs appear to maintain proper tension, although the magazines have not been function-tested for cycling or live fire.
