Description
This is a Savage Axis bolt action rifle chambered in the popular 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge, designed as a lightweight and reliable hunting platform. The firearm features a 22 inch barrel with a matte black finish, which is also present on the receiver. The rifle is set into a durable tan polymer stock characterized by textured grip areas on the forend and pistol grip for enhanced handling. It comes equipped with a Bushnell Banner 3 to 9x variable power scope featuring a bullet drop compensation reticle, mounted to the receiver. Additional features include a detachable box magazine and a black rubber recoil pad with the Savage logo. Prominent markings include the barrel roll mark SAVAGE AXIS 6.5 Creedmoor CALIBER — BEFORE USE READ & SAVAGE ARMS INC., WESTFIELD, MA 01086 USA UNDERSTAND OWNER’S MANUAL. The receiver is clearly stamped with the serial number P706672. The Savage brand name is also visible on the bolt handle, the side of the stock, and the floorplate of the magazine. Large red and white Savage branding stickers have been applied to the right side of the buttstock and the underside of the forend. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain most of their original matte black finish, showing only minor surface scuffs and light wear consistent with field use, particularly near the muzzle. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The tan polymer stock is in good overall condition, exhibiting typical handling marks and some light scratches but no cracks or structural damage. The action appears to function correctly and smoothly, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The optic glass is clear, and the adjustment turrets appear to operate as intended. The recoil pad shows minor surface wear but remains supple.
