Description
This is a Maverick Model 88 pump-action shotgun manufactured by Mossberg, chambered for 20 gauge shells. The firearm is configured for field use with a 26-inch blued barrel featuring a ventilated rib and a dual bead sighting system consisting of a white front bead and a brass mid-bead. The barrel is fitted with an Accu-Choke system and is capable of accepting 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells. The receiver is constructed of black anodized aluminum, and the furniture consists of a black polymer field stock with a textured grip and a matching ribbed polymer pump forend. The stock is finished with a vented black rubber recoil pad. Key markings on the left side of the receiver include MODEL 88 / ~ 20 GA. ~ / MAVERICK / BY MOSSBERG and the serial number MV23414 R. The barrel is marked CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4 AND 3 IN. SHELLS / — 20 GA – 26 IN. ACCU-CHOKE —. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun remains in very good overall condition. The black anodized finish on the receiver shows minor surface scuffs and light edge wear. The blued finish on the 26-inch barrel is well-preserved with only faint handling marks. The polymer stock and forend are excellent, exhibiting minimal signs of use. The vented recoil pad is intact and shows no significant wear. The bore is bright, and the action appears to function correctly; however, we have not function-tested this firearm.
