Description
This is a single Harrington & Richardson Arms Company Young America Double Action five-shot revolver chambered in .32 S&W. Designed as a compact pocket pistol, the firearm features a 2-inch octagonal barrel and a solid frame construction. The exterior is finished in nickel plating across the frame, cylinder, and barrel, while the trigger, trigger guard, and checkered hammer exhibit a dark blued finish. The revolver is fitted with two-piece checkered black hard rubber grips featuring decorative scrollwork and a circular target motif. Key markings include the top strap stamped YOUNG AMERICA / DOUBLE ACTION and the left side of the barrel marked H. & R. ARMS COMPANY. / WORCESTER MASS U S A above 32 S. & W. CTGE. The serial number 254187 is stamped on the bottom of the grip frame, though the first few digits are partially obscured by surface scratches. The firearm features a fixed blade front sight and a notched rear sight integrated into the top strap. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good overall condition. The nickel-plated finish remains largely intact but shows minor surface scratches, light holster wear, and small areas of pitting and oxidation on the frame and cylinder. The blued finish on the trigger guard and hammer shows some thinning and age-related wear. The checkered hard rubber grips are well-preserved with crisp texture and no visible cracks or significant chips. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double action modes, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore was not inspected. The serial number on the butt is legible despite surface abrasions.
