Description
This Winchester Model 70 is a bolt-action rifle chambered in .284 Winchester, featuring a blued finish on the barrel and receiver. The barrel is notable for being devoid of iron sights, as the receiver is drilled and tapped with four holes to facilitate the mounting of optics. Key markings include the manufacturer designation WINCHESTER and — TRADE MARK — on the left side of the receiver, and the serial number G1007489 on the right side. The bolt assembly has a polished body with a blued handle and a three-position safety selector on the shroud marked FIRE. The rifle is fitted with an aftermarket Ram-Line synthetic stock that features a textured gray finish with black flecks and two sling swivel studs for carry. The stock is fitted with a black rubber recoil pad branded with the RAM-LINE logo. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The barrel and receiver retain a high degree of their blued finish, showing only minor thinning on the bolt handle and some faint handling marks. The top of the receiver shows some surface residue and minor finish wear from previous scope mount installation. The bore was not inspected. The bolt action appears to cycle and lock correctly, though the firearm has not been function-tested. The aftermarket synthetic stock is in good condition, exhibiting some light scuffs and surface wear consistent with field use. The rubber recoil pad remains in good condition.
