Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 1171:
Sold for: $55
Description
This lot consists of a collection of 313 rounds of remanufactured .25 Auto ammunition, also commonly referred to as .25 ACP or 6.35mm, accompanied by approximately 100 empty brass casings intended for reloading purposes. The ammunition is organized within three green plastic MTM Case-Gard 50-round boxes, one white plastic loading block, and three clear plastic bags. The collection includes a diverse variety of projectile types, featuring copper full metal jacket, unjacketed lead, and coated lead bullets, seated in both brass and nickel-plated casings. A wide range of manufacturers is represented throughout the lot, with prominent headstamps including CCI 25 AUTO, R-P 25 AUTO for Remington-Peters, W-W 25 AUTO for Winchester-Western, and P W S 6.35. The ammunition appears to be comprised of various production lots and ages, suitable for target practice or as a source of components for reloading.
Condition report:
The ammunition and spent casings exhibit varying degrees of age-related wear and shelf life. Visible tarnish, oxidation, and surface discoloration are present on several of the brass casings and lead projectiles. Nickel-plated casings generally show less oxidation but may exhibit minor surface scuffing and handling marks. Primers on the live rounds appear seated correctly and are free of major corrosion, while the empty brass casings show typical firing pin indentations and interior carbon residue from previous discharge. The plastic storage containers and bags are functional but show signs of use, including dust accumulation and minor surface wear. We have not function-tested this ammunition.
