Lot 1172:
A Trio of Springfield Armory XD Series Pistol Magazines .45 ACP
Sold for: $50
Description
This lot consists of three factory-new Springfield Armory magazines designed for the XD Series of pistols, specifically the XDS and XDS Mod.2 sub-compact models, chambered in .45 ACP. The collection includes two 6-round capacity magazines and one 5-round capacity magazine. The 6-round magazines are equipped with black polymer grip sleeves intended to provide a full-handed grip when inserted into the XDS Mod.2 frame. The 5-round magazine features a hook plate, or extended pinky rest, which is compatible with both the original XDS and the XDS Mod.2. All three magazines are constructed with stainless steel bodies featuring numbered witness holes for round counting and black polymer followers. Verbatim markings on the retail packaging include SPRINGFIELD ARMORY, DEFEND YOUR LEGACY, and FIREARM ACCESSORIES. The XD SERIES MAGAZINE labels further specify .45ACP – 6 RND W/BLK SLEEVE XDS MOD2 with part number XDSG5006, and .45ACP – 5 RND WITH HOOK PLATE XDS & XDS MOD2. The reverse of the packaging provides a brief history of the Springfield Armory name and features a depiction of the XDS pistol.
Condition report:
All three magazines are in new-old-stock condition, remaining sealed in their original factory retail blister packaging. The stainless steel bodies show no signs of oxidation or wear, and the polymer components are free of scuffs or damage. The cardboard backing cards and plastic blister covers are intact with only minor shelf wear consistent with handling and storage. The internal springs and followers appear to be in excellent functional condition, although the magazines have not been live-fire tested.
