Description

This lot consists of 500 rounds of vintage .22 CB Short rimfire ammunition manufactured by Winchester and Western. These low-velocity, reduced-charge cartridges are ideal for gallery shooting or quiet pest control. The collection includes original white cardboard boxes with prominent orange and red graphics. One box style is labeled Winchester 22 CB Short Low Velocity Rimfire Cartridges and features the iconic rider-on-horseback logo; the cartridges inside are marked with headstamps showing the letters SUPER inside a diamond-shaped border, indicating they are from Winchester’s Super-X line. The second box style is labeled Winchester Western 22 CB Short Low Velocity Reduced Charge Rimfire Cartridges and contains cartridges featuring a headstamp with a stylized character that appears to be a W. All cartridges feature brass cases and lead round-nose bullets. Markings on the packaging include the warnings Warning: Keep out of reach of children and instructions to read all warnings on the package before use.

Condition report:

The ammunition is in vintage condition. The brass cases show light tarnish and minor oxidation consistent with age, while the lead bullets exhibit a typical dull gray oxidized finish. The cardboard boxes show varying degrees of shelf wear, including frayed edges, light staining, and some compression or tearing at the corners and flaps. One box is open and appears to be full. The ammunition is sold as a collectible; we have not function-tested these cartridges and make no warranties regarding their safety or reliability.
