Lot 1208:
Sold for: $110
Description
This lot consists of two custom-style fixed blade knives, both featuring pattern-welded Damascus steel construction and decorative leather sheaths. The first knife is a hunting-style blade with a drop-point profile, featuring a distinctive cut-out design of a buck’s head within the steel. The handle is a multi-part construction composed of an off-white bone or synthetic center, a dark composite or horn pommel area with a red spacer, and a decorative mosaic pin. This knife is accompanied by a brown leather sheath with scalloped edge stamping and a belt loop. The second knife is a small skinning or utility knife in the style of a Mike Fink Skinner. The Damascus steel blade features a visible grain pattern. The handle is constructed with a red-toned stabilized wood bolster and an off-white bone or synthetic rear section decorated with an etched wolf head motif. It is secured by three pins and includes a lanyard hole. The accompanying two-tone leather sheath features basket-weave stamping and yellow contrast stitching, designed with a broad loop for horizontal carry. No maker’s marks or tang stamps are visible on either specimen.
Blade 1 length: 4.75 inches
Blade 2 length: 3.25 inches.
Condition report:
Both knives are in excellent condition and appear unused. The Damascus patterns on the blades are clear and well-defined with no evidence of oxidation, chips, or sharpening wear. Handle materials are intact without cracks or separation. The leather sheaths are well-preserved with minor storage scuffs and firm stitching.
