Description

This lot features two fixed-blade knives constructed with pattern-welded Damascus steel blades showing characteristic wavy grain patterns. The first knife is designed with a cleaver-style blade featuring a straight cutting edge and a clipped point. Its full tang handle is fitted with wood scales, likely walnut, featuring a central decorative insert of blue and tan laminated material. The handle is secured by three pins and includes a brass lanyard tube. It is paired with a rectangular brown leather sheath with yellow stitching and a belt loop. The second knife is a drop-point hunter with finger grooves integrated into the wood handle scales. This handle is secured by two pins, including one decorative mosaic pin on one side. Faint markings are visible on the blade near the handle but are not legible for attribution. It is accompanied by a curved brown leather sheath featuring stamped decorative tooling and a belt loop secured by metal snaps with a star motif.
Cleaver blade length: approximately 4 inches
Drop-point blade length: approximately 3.75 inches.

Condition report:

The cleaver-style knife is in very good condition and appears unused with a clean edge. The drop-point knife is in good condition, showing minor surface oxidation on the Damascus steel and typical light scuffing to the leather sheath.
