The steel receiver and barrel display a blued finish, with the receiver accented by decorative factory-engraved scrollwork. The firearm is equipped with a gloss-finished walnut stock and forend featuring pressed checkering, a pistol grip cap with a white diamond inlay, and a black rubberized recoil pad embossed with the Remington name. Sighting is provided by a single front bead mounted on the ventilated rib. Key markings transcribed from the firearm include the model designation Remington Model 1100 and serial number N762837 V on the left side of the receiver. The barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A., 12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 IN. SHELLS, and includes the stamp MOD for modified choke. Additional barrel markings include an REP proof mark within an oval and a date code sequence that appears as J EC 84. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun displays signs of moderate use consistent with field service. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows thinning at the high points and scattered light scratches, with some minor surface wear on the receiver. The gloss-finished wood furniture exhibits numerous dings, scuffs, and scratches throughout the stock and forend, though the checkering remains defined. The bore is bright and appears to be in good condition. The action functions smoothly when cycled manually, but the firearm has not been test-fired. The rubber butt pad shows typical wear and minor hardening.
