Description

The Benjamin Model 312 is a pump-action pneumatic air rifle chambered in .22 caliber. The rifle features a brass barrel and integrated air reservoir that displays a notable aged patina, tarnish, and surface wear throughout. The receiver houses a polished silver-toned bolt assembly and is fitted with a matching trigger guard. The furniture includes a smooth wood buttstock and a grooved wood pump forend, both of which exhibit numerous dings, scratches, and finish loss from handling and use. The rifle is equipped with a fixed front blade sight and a manually adjustable rear leaf sight. Key markings include the manufacturer designation “BENJAMIN FRANKLIN” and MADE IN U.S.A. stamped on the left side of the receiver, and the model number 312 is stamped on the rear receiver cap. The pump action appears to function mechanically, though the rifle has not been tested for its ability to hold air pressure or fire a projectile. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.

Condition report:

The brass finish shows significant tarnish and a dark aged patina across the barrel and reservoir. The wood furniture shows heavy signs of use, including numerous scratches, dings, and finish thinning on both the buttstock and forend. The silver-toned components on the receiver and trigger guard remain bright with only light surface scuffs. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly when cycled, but the internal seals have not been tested for pressure.
