Lot 1344:
Sold for: $200
Description
This O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. Model 190KB is a bolt-action shotgun chambered for 16 gauge 2-3/4 inch shells. It features a 22 inch barrel equipped with an adjustable C-LECT-CHOKE system at the muzzle for versatile pattern control. The barrel and receiver are finished in a traditional blued steel, while the firearm is mounted in a dark-stained wooden stock with a contoured forend and pistol grip. Sighting is handled by a fixed front bead and a rear elevator sight. One detachable box magazine is included with the lot. A black rubber recoil pad marked BOYD is fitted to the buttstock. Verbatim markings on the barrel include O.F. MOSSBERG & SONS, INC., NEW HAVEN, CONN., U.S.A., MODEL 190KB, and 16 GA. 2-3/4 INCH. A proof mark consisting of a letter P inside a circle is stamped on the barrel near the receiver. No serial number is visible on the exterior of the firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows moderate thinning and wear, primarily at the muzzle and along the high edges of the receiver, with some light surface scratches present. The bolt body shows some discoloration and signs of previous light oxidation. The bore is bright and appears free of significant pitting. The bolt-action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The wooden stock is in good overall condition with various handling marks, dings, and small scratches consistent with field use, but it remains structurally sound.
