Description
This is a Winchester Model 70 Black Shadow bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The rifle features a matte black finish on the barrel and receiver, complemented by a jeweled bolt body. Key markings include the model designation on the barrel which reads WINCHESTER MODEL 70 30-06 SPRG. MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CT U.S.A. along with the series name – BLACK SHADOW -. The receiver is stamped with serial number G2251744 on the right side and WINCHESTER -TRADE MARK- on the left. The firearm is fitted with a durable black textured synthetic stock that includes integral sling swivel studs and a Winchester-branded rubber recoil pad. This rifle is equipped with a Leupold VX-I 3-9x40mm riflescope featuring a duplex reticle, with the scope body specifically marked 284155L MADE IN USA. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The matte black finish on the metal surfaces is in good condition, showing only minor handling wear and a few faint scratches. The jeweled bolt body remains bright and attractive with some minor darkening from use. The synthetic stock is structurally sound but displays several superficial white scuffs and minor handling marks, most noticeably on the right side of the buttstock. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The optics are clear, and the reticle remains sharp.
