Description

This lot consists of a total of 150 .30 caliber bullet tips for reloading from manufacturers Speer and Sierra, intended for rifle ammunition handloading. The collection includes three distinct projectile types housed in their original vintage packaging. The first is a black plastic box of Speer TNT Varmint bullets, identified by the catalog number 1986 and marked MADE IN USA. These are 125 grain copper-jacketed hollow point projectiles; markings on the container include 1986, 30 CAL | 125 GRAIN, and 100 HIGH-PERFORMANCE BULLETS. The second container is a yellow plastic Speer box containing 110 grain .308 inch diameter round soft point bullets with catalog number 1845. The end label is marked SPEER 30 CAL 110 GR .308 ROUND SP 100 1845. The third item is a green cardboard box for Sierra Bullets from Santa Fe Springs, California, containing 170 grain .307 inch diameter flat nose soft point projectiles designed for 30-30 caliber rifles, catalog number 2010. The box markings include Established May 14, 1947, Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and the side label reads 100 Sierra Rifle Bullets .30 CAL. 2010 .307 Diameter 170 gr. Flat Nose 30-30.

Condition report:

The packaging for these reloading components shows signs of age and shelf wear. The green Sierra cardboard box exhibits significant scuffing, edge wear, and some crushing at the corners. The yellow Speer plastic box is missing its original latching tab and is currently secured with blue painter\'s tape. The black Speer TNT box is in good condition with minor surface scuffing. The projectiles themselves appear to be in good, usable condition; the Speer 125 grain and 110 grain bullets retain a bright copper finish, while the Sierra 170 grain bullets show a mild patina or light oxidation on the copper jackets and lead tips consistent with long-term storage in cardboard.
