Lot 1367:
Tasco 3-9x40 Variable Power Rifle Scope with Mounting Rings
Sold for: $65
Description
This is a Tasco variable power rifle scope featuring a magnification range of 3x to 9x with a 40mm objective lens. The scope is finished in a matte black and utilizes a simple fine crosshair reticle for aiming. It is equipped with two black mounting rings and features adjustment turrets for windage and elevation protected by screw-on caps. The eyepiece bell contains several identifying marks transcribed verbatim as TASCO, 3X-9X40, OPTI-CENTERED ZOOM, NITROGEN FILLED, FULLY COATED, and REG. No. F. 63940. The scope includes a knurled power adjustment ring and a textured eyepiece focus ring. The main tube shows signs of previous mounting and use. As this item is an optical accessory and not a firearm, no federal background check is required for purchase.
Condition report:
The exterior of the scope shows moderate wear consistent with field use. There are scattered scratches, scuffs, and small chips in the black finish across the main tube, objective bell, and eyepiece bell. The knurling on the adjustment rings remains functional but shows some finish thinning on the high points. The glass appears clear and the reticle is intact. The mechanical adjustments for magnification and the turrets appear to operate as intended, though the unit has not been tested for zero hold or tracking accuracy on a firearm.
