It features a one-piece walnut stock with a semi-pistol grip, prominent finger grooves along the forend, and a metal buttplate featuring an oval Savage Arms Corp. logo. The rifle is equipped with a blade front sight and a receiver-mounted aperture peep sight. The barrel is marked verbatim MANUFACTURED BY SAVAGE ARMS CORP. UTICA, N.Y. U.S.A. and PATENTED NOV. 28, 1905. SEP. 7, 1915. SEP. 4, 1917. NOV. 20, 1917. with the caliber designation 22- LONG RIFLE on the left side. It includes one detachable box magazine marked 22 LONG RIFLE, SAVAGE ARMS CORP., and PAT-APRIL 28, 1908. The magazine is noted to have a very tight fit when inserted into the magazine well. The receiver is marked with a clear FIRE indicator near the bolt handle. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle is in fair to good condition, exhibiting a well-used but original appearance. The blued finish has thinned considerably across all metal surfaces, developing a consistent brown patina with areas of light surface oxidation and handling wear. The walnut stock is structurally sound, showing a historical accumulation of dings, scratches, and compression marks consistent with its age. The bore is relatively bright with distinct rifling. The action appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm. The included magazine fits notably tight within the magazine well during operation.
