Description

This lot consists of a total of 40 cartridges of .338 Winchester Magnum centerfire rifle ammunition housed in two original factory boxes. The first is a green Remington High Velocity box containing 20 rounds of 225-grain pointed soft point ammunition with headstamps marked R – P 338 WIN MAG and identified by product code R338W1. The second is a Federal Premium Vital-Shok box, product code P338A2, containing a mix of 20 cartridges. These include 19 nickel-plated cases with headstamps marked F C 338 WIN MAG and one brass-cased cartridge featuring a white polymer tip and a 338 WIN MAG SUPER-X WESTERN headstamp. Key markings include the manufacturer names, caliber designations, and bullet specifications printed across the cardboard panels of both boxes. The Remington ammunition is seated in a white foam tray, while the Federal rounds are held in a brown plastic insert.

Condition report:

The ammunition cases exhibit light tarnishing and minor surface oxidation consistent with long-term storage. The lead bullet tips on the Remington cartridges show very light white oxidation. All rounds appear live and unspent with un-struck primers. The original cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including edge fraying, scuffing, and minor corner crushing. The internal foam and plastic supports are in good, intact condition.
