Description
This Winchester Model 12 is a Heavy Duck variant chambered for 3-inch shells, designed specifically for use with high-velocity waterfowl loads. The shotgun is configured with a 30-inch barrel featuring a full choke. Both the barrel and the receiver are constructed from Winchester Proof Steel and display a matching serial number of 1341265. Prominent markings on the left side of the barrel include MADE IN NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA — WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL — WINCHESTER TRADE MARK — MODEL 12 — 12 GA — 3 IN. CHAM. FOR SUPER SPEED & SUPER-X FULL. Circular WP Winchester proof marks are clearly visible on the top of both the receiver and the barrel. The shotgun is fitted with a walnut pistol grip stock and a ribbed forend. The butt is finished with a factory-branded Winchester rubber recoil pad. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces show a heavily worn blued finish with significant silvering, surface thinning, and areas of scattered oxidation and light pitting throughout. The walnut stock and forend exhibit numerous dings, scuffs, and scratches consistent with field use, but remain structurally sound. The action appears to function correctly, though it has not been live-fire tested. The Winchester rubber recoil pad is heavily worn and shows signs of hardening and cracking due to age.
