Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 1453:
Sold for: $55
Description
This lot consists of 186 rounds of .32 Auto (7.65mm) caliber centerfire ammunition, primarily featuring 71-grain full metal case (FMC) or metal case (MC) projectiles. The collection is housed in four vintage boxes: two PMC Bronze Ammunition boxes, one green Remington High Velocity box, and one blue and white Peters Kleanbore Priming box. The cartridges are organized within a mix of black plastic and white styrofoam trays. Headstamps indicate a variety of manufacturers including PMC, Remington-Peters (R-P), Peters, Winchester-Western (W-W), Winchester (WIN), Smith & Wesson (S&W), and Western. Box markings include Remington High Velocity 50 Center Fire Cartridges and R32AP, Peters 50 Center Fire Cartridges Kleanbore Priming and Index 3260, and PMC Bronze Ammunition 50 Centerfire Pistol Cartridges. Projectile weights are consistently labeled as 71 grain. The total count of 186 rounds indicates that the boxes are not entirely full.
Condition report:
The ammunition exhibits varying levels of age-related tarnish and oxidation on the brass cases and copper-jacketed projectiles. The cardboard packaging shows substantial shelf wear, including torn flaps, corner fraying, tape reinforcements, and several vintage retail price stickers ranging from $10.00 to $22.99. The cartridges appear to be live and unspent.
