Gun Collectors Dream Auction #84 June 13th & 14th
Lot 1471:
Sold for: $65
Description
This lot consists of 111 rounds of remanufactured .22-250 Remington centerfire rifle ammunition, housed within two red plastic hinged-lid storage boxes. The left-hand box contains 51 rounds featuring lead soft-point projectiles, with fifty rounds organized in a five-by-ten grid and one additional round resting horizontally. The right-hand box contains 60 rounds equipped with orange polymer-tipped projectiles, consistent with the Hornady V-MAX style, including several loose rounds resting atop the internal storage grid. Key markings transcribed from the brass headstamps include REM-UMC and 22-250 REM, confirming the caliber and indicating the use of Remington-manufactured brass. Both containers feature handwritten notations on the lids consistent with reloading data, including the marking 55/220 on the left box and caliber designations on the right. This ammunition utilizes standard brass cases with intact primers and appears to be in functional condition for use in appropriately chambered firearms.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in good overall condition, appearing as live rounds suitable for use. The brass cartridge cases show varying degrees of surface tarnishing and minor spots of oxidation consistent with storage, but no heavy corrosion or structural damage is evident. The projectiles are securely seated and remain in clean condition, with the polymer tips on the V-MAX style rounds remaining intact and bright. The red plastic storage boxes are fully functional with working hinges and secure latches, showing only minor scuffing and handwritten markings on the lids.
