Lot 1478:
An Assortment of Fishing Lures and a Gerber Utility Hook Knife
Sold for: $50
Description
A collection of fishing and utility items featuring promotional Busch Beer lures, a vintage wooden lure, and a Gerber brand tool. The Busch Beer lures are contained within original retail packaging and include a popper style bait with a feathered tail and a minnow-style crankbait, both bearing the Busch logo on the bodies. The vintage wooden lure is a torpedo-style surface bait featuring a yellow painted body with black crescent eye motifs and metal propellers at both the nose and tail. It is fitted with two belly-mounted treble hooks attached with screw-eye hardware. The utility tool is a Gerber hook knife designed for cutting webbing or cord, featuring a gray plastic frame with two finger holes, a black rubberized grip, and a recessed blade. The Gerber manufacturer logo is visible on the frame. This tool is accompanied by a black nylon sheath with a snap-button closure.
Condition report:
The promotional Busch lures appear unused in original boxes which show shelf wear, dust, and minor creasing to the plastic and cardboard. The vintage wooden lure exhibits significant age-related wear including overall paint craquelure, small chips to the finish, and oxidation on the metal hardware and treble hooks. The Gerber tool and sheath show signs of light use with minor surface scuffs to the plastic and fabric.
