Description
This Rock Island Armory M 1911-A1 MS is a mid-sized semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP. The firearm features a 4.25-inch barrel and is finished in a durable matte black Parkerized coating on both the slide and frame. It is fitted with a pair of Wilson Combat checkered wood grips, which are identifiable by the circular metal medallions featuring a bird and the letter C. Technical specifications include a standard spur hammer, fixed low-profile combat sights, and a frame-mounted grip safety. Key markings include the manufacturer logo and ROCK ISLAND ARMORY on the left side of the slide, while the right side of the frame is stamped with the model designation M 1911-A1 MS and the serial number RIA1488313. The underside of the frame forward of the trigger guard is marked APINTL-PAHRUMP NV and PHILIPPINES. The barrel hood, visible through the ejection port, is marked CAL. 45 ACP. Included with the lot is one 8-round detachable box magazine marked ARMSCOR and MADE IN ITALY / P.S.I. USA, as well as a black plastic hard storage case featuring a manufacturer label with a matching serial number. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good overall condition, retaining the majority of its matte black Parkerized finish. Minor finish thinning and silvering are present on the leading edges of the slide and on the high points of the controls. The exposed barrel hood shows light surface scuffing consistent with normal cycling. The Wilson Combat wood grips are in very good condition with crisp checkering and no significant handling marks. The bore is bright with well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The included magazine and storage case exhibit minor surface wear.
