Description
The Winchester Model 310 is a single-shot bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges. This example features a blued steel barrel and receiver mounted in a checkered hardwood stock with a pistol grip and factory-installed sling swivels. The rifle is equipped with standard open iron sights, comprising a ramped front blade and an adjustable rear leaf sight. Verbatim markings on the left side of the barrel include – WINCHESTER ® 22 S, L, OR L.R. — MODEL — 310 followed by NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. on the following line. The serial number D12683 is stamped on the left side of the receiver, while the Winchester brand name is roll-marked on the right side of the receiver. The rifle is fitted with a black plastic buttplate embossed with the manufacturer name. It is important to note that the rifle is missing its bolt handle, although the action is reported to function correctly otherwise. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued metal surfaces exhibit thinning, light surface oxidation, and various handling marks throughout. The hardwood stock shows significant wear, characterized by numerous scratches, scuffs, and two distinct rectangular patches of adhesive residue on the buttstock. The checkered areas remain mostly defined but show some compression and dirt. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function, though the bolt handle is missing; we have not function-tested this firearm.
