Description
This is a single Winchester Model 94 lever-action rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester. It is configured as a carbine with a 20-inch barrel and a full-length tubular magazine. The firearm features a blued finish on the barrel and magazine tube, while the receiver displays the characteristic finish wear and flaking often seen on post-1964 production models. The rifle is stocked in two-piece walnut with a straight grip and a barrel-banded forend. It is equipped with a hooded front sight and an adjustable buckhorn-style rear sight. An aftermarket brown rubber White Line recoil pad manufactured by Mershon Co., Inc. is fitted to the buttstock. Prominent markings on the left side of the barrel are transcribed as WINCHESTER – MODEL 94 – 30-30 WIN. -, – TRADE MARK -, MADE IN U.S.A., and – WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL -. The underside of the receiver is stamped with the serial number 2880693. Front and rear sling swivel studs are also installed. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces show varying degrees of wear, with the barrel and magazine tube retaining a fair amount of original bluing despite some thinning and light scratches. The receiver exhibits significant finish loss and flaking throughout. The walnut furniture is in good structural condition with various small nicks, dings, and surface scratches consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly. The bore was not inspected. The aftermarket recoil pad remains intact with some light checking to the rubber.
