Description

This lot consists of a trio of boxes containing reloading bullets manufactured by Sierra Bullets, Inc. and is estimated to contain approximately 240 units with a total weight of 4.4 lbs. The collection includes one box of 110 grain .30 caliber hollow-point bullets and one box of 150 grain .303 caliber .311 diameter Spitzer bullets, both produced at the Whittier, California facility. The third box contains 110 grain .30 caliber .308 diameter hollow-point bullets manufactured in Santa Fe Springs, California. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Sierra 30 Caliber Bullets 110 GR. Hollow-Point Manufactured By Sierra Bullets, Inc. Whittier, Calif., Sierra 303 Caliber Bullets 150 gr. .311 Spitzer Manufactured By Sierra Bullets, Inc. Whittier, Calif., and Sierra 30 Caliber Bullets 110 gr. .308 Hollow-Point Manufactured By Sierra Bullets, Inc. Santa Fe Springs, Calif. The bullets feature copper-alloy jackets with lead cores as visible in the open packaging. These components are intended for handloading and do not include brass cases, primer, or powder.

Condition report:

The green and black cardboard boxes display significant signs of shelf wear and age, including scuffed edges, corner fraying, and some tearing to the flaps. The Whittier .303 caliber box shows a significant tear on the bottom front edge, and the top box exhibits old price stickers and blue ink markings. The bullet projectiles themselves show varying degrees of surface tarnish and oxidation to the copper jackets and lead tips consistent with long-term storage. The bullets appear to be in usable condition for reloading purposes despite the aged packaging.
