Lot 361:
A Lot of 100 Rounds of Hornady Superformance Varmint .17 Hornet Ammunition
Sold for: $90
Description
A lot of 100 rounds of Hornady Superformance Varmint .17 Hornet ammunition, comprised of four individual boxes each containing 25 cartridges. This ammunition features 20-grain V-MAX projectiles with distinct orange polymer tips seated in rimmed brass cases. Factory labeling on the boxes identifies the product as item #83005, with printed ballistic data indicating a muzzle velocity of 3650 fps and a 200-yard zero. Verbatim markings on the packaging include Hornady Superformance Varmint, 17 Hornet 20 gr V-MAX, and lot numbers 3152818 and 3150443. One box is prominently marked with handwritten black ink stating RELOADS and 19.3 H4227, indicating that these specific rounds are handloaded rather than factory original. Another box features the notation 9.3 #4227 on the front face. The lot includes the original cardboard boxes and internal black plastic ammunition trays.
Condition report:
The brass cases show a generally clean finish with some minor surface tarnish and light shelf wear. The orange polymer tips appear secure and are without significant deformity. The cardboard packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear, including corner dings, edge fraying, and multiple handwritten notations in permanent marker. One box is clearly designated as containing reloads; as such, the components and consistency of the handloaded rounds cannot be factory-verified. This ammunition appears to be live; however, we have not function-tested these rounds for performance or safety.
