Description

This lot features a diverse collection of mid-20th-century French military surplus and modern firearm accessories. The military components include a wide, light brown leather rifle sling characteristic of post-World War II French service rifles such as the MAS-36 or MAS-49/56. The underside of the sling bears several black ink stamps including E.F.A.C. LIMOGES, MATERIEL LIMOGES, and the characters 10 C. Also present is a tan plastic maintenance bottle used for oil or cleaning solvent, embossed with the text ARMEE FRANCAISE, and a pair of matching brown leather leg gaiters featuring brass grommets along the edges. The modern accessories include a group of holsters consisting of a dark brown leather Fobus belt holster with a metal clip stamped FOBUS 1470, a Blackhawk! synthetic inside-the-waistband holster, and a black nylon ambidextrous holster. A vintage, well-worn brown leather holster with dual snap closures is included, stamped with Patent No 1680104. Ammunition carriers by Allen include a black nylon cartridge belt with elastic loops and an elastic buttstock cartridge cuff. The lot is completed by a black rubberized slip-on grip sleeve and a small triangular leather pouch component with a wire hook.

Condition report:

Items range in condition from fair to very good. The French military leather sling and vintage leather holster show significant wear, patina, and surface scuffing consistent with age and field use. The modern nylon and synthetic holsters and ammunition carriers are in very good condition with minimal signs of wear. The plastic French Army maintenance bottle is intact with minor surface scuffing.
