Lot 397:
A Lot of 150 .44 S&W Special and .44 Remington Magnum Remanufactured Ammunition
Sold for: $65
Description
This lot consists of 150 rounds of centerfire handgun ammunition, comprised of mixed .44 S&W Special and .44 Remington Magnum calibers. These rounds are housed in three blue MTM Case-Gard plastic flip-top boxes and are identified as remanufactured or hand-loaded ammunition. The collection includes a variety of bullet types such as jacketed hollow point and lead semi-wadcutter. The brass and nickel-plated cases feature a wide array of manufacturer headstamps, including M B S, 4 4 S & W S P L, W – W, R E M – U M C, S U P E R – X, C C I 4 4 S & W S P L, C C I 4 4 R E M M A G, R – P 4 4 R E M M A G, H O R N A D Y 4 4 R E M M A G, P M C 4 4 R E M M A G, and F E D 4 4 R E M M A G. Two of the plastic boxes feature handwritten load notations on the interior lids including 4.8 #2 ACC, 200 GR HP FLT, and 44 Special. The mix of components and notations suggests specialized target or defensive loads. The ammunition is stored in standard 50-round capacity plastic cases.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in generally good condition, though the brass and nickel-plated cases exhibit varying degrees of tarnish, surface oxidation, and handling wear consistent with long-term storage. The primers appear to be properly seated and show no signs of leakage. The plastic MTM Case-Gard storage boxes are fully functional with some light scuffing and handwritten markings as noted. As this is remanufactured ammunition of unknown origin, it is sold for components or as-is, and we have not function-tested these rounds.
