Description

One Iver Johnson’s Arms & Cycle Works Supershot model top-break double-action revolver chambered in .22 caliber. This target-style firearm features a 6-inch barrel with a fixed front blade sight and a seven-shot cylinder. It is fitted with oversized, checkered walnut target grips that extend below the frame, providing a larger surface area for the shooter. The frame utilizes a top-break action with a knurled release latch located on the top strap. Key markings transcribed verbatim from the top barrel rib include IVER JOHNSON’S ARMS & CYCLE WORKS and FITCHBURG MASS. U.S.A. with decorative arrows at either end. The serial number 73657 is stamped on the underside of the trigger guard. All metal surfaces exhibit a heavy, natural dark patina. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The revolver is in fair overall condition. The metal surfaces have transitioned to a heavy dark gray and brown patina with scattered areas of surface oxidation and light pinprick pitting, most notably along the barrel and cylinder. The oversized wood grips show significant wear, including numerous scuffs, dings, and substantial loss of the original finish, although the checkering remains largely visible. The double-action mechanism appears to function correctly with the hammer cocking and trigger releasing as intended, though the firearm has not been live-fire tested. The bore has not been inspected.
