Lot 434:
A Lot of 6 Savage Arms .22 LR Rimfire Magazines
Sold for: $30
Description
This lot consists of six .22 caliber long rifle rimfire magazines. The collection features four 10-round magazines designed for Savage and Lakefield 62, 64, and 954 series autoloader rifles. One of these magazines is in its original Savage Arms retail packaging, identified as Part No. 30005, and features a glossy black finish with a red plastic follower. The remaining three 10-round magazines are loose and matching in configuration. The lot also contains two shorter detachable box magazines with a matte black finish and metal followers, which are compatible with Savage rimfire bolt-action rifles. Verbatim markings on the retail card include Savage Arms The Definition of Accuracy, Part No. 30005, Magazine Magasin 10 Shot Coups, and Calibre .22 Cal. L.R. The lower text specifies they are For Savage and Lakefield 62, 64 and 954 Series Autoloader Rimfire Rifles.
Condition report:
The magazines are in overall good condition, ranging from new-old-stock to used. The packaged magazine is in excellent, unused condition. The three loose 10-round magazines show light surface wear and minor finish loss consistent with range use. The two shorter box magazines exhibit more wear, including patches of light surface oxidation and thinning to the matte finish. The springs and followers on all loose magazines appear to function correctly with appropriate tension.
