Description

This lot consists of a collection of 442 empty .222 Remington caliber brass casings, organized into eight clear plastic bags. The assortment includes both standard brass-finished and nickel-plated casings from manufacturers including Remington and Winchester. Visible headstamps include markings such as REM . 222 and W C 72. One bag contains a handwritten note indicating the contents are primed and sized, and visual inspection confirms that a portion of the total count has been processed and primed for reloading, while others remain as once-fired spent brass. The collection provides a substantial quantity of reloading components for the .222 Remington cartridge, encompassing both raw spent casings and those that have been cleaned, resized, and primed in preparation for handloading.

Condition report:

The brass casings are in varied condition, ranging from bright and clean to showing typical tarnish and surface oxidation consistent with age and previous use. The nickel-plated casings generally retain a bright finish. Some casings exhibit carbon fouling from previous firing, while others have been processed for reloading. The primers in the resized casings appear to be live and properly seated, though they have not been tested for functionality. No significant structural defects such as split necks or heavy corrosion were observed during visual inspection.
