Description

This is a Savage Model A17 semi-automatic rifle chambered in .17 HMR, specifically designed as a high-performance rimfire platform for varmint hunting. The firearm features a 22-inch blued and fluted barrel, optimized for thermal dissipation and rigidity. The receiver is finished in a matching deep bluing and is fitted with a Picatinny rail mounting a Leupold Mark AR Mod-1 4-12x40mm AO scope with a Mil-Dot reticle and elastic lens covers. The rifle is housed in a durable black textured polymer stock providing a non-slip grip, accented by a CCI A17 Varmint Tip recommendation sticker on the left side of the buttstock and upgraded with a Boyds’ textured rubber recoil pad. Primary barrel markings include SAVAGE A17 17 HMR CALIBER, SAVAGE ARMS INC., WESTFIELD, MA 01085 USA, and the warning BEFORE USE READ & UNDERSTAND OWNER’S MANUAL. The receiver displays the serial number P992564. This lot is accompanied by a total of six rotary magazines, a black Pit Bull soft carrying case, the original Leupold scope box, and the Savage Arms factory instruction manual. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle is in good to very good condition, showing signs of light field use. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains approximately 95% intact, with minor surface scuffs and handling marks visible upon close inspection. The bore is bright with crisp, well-defined rifling. The semi-automatic action appears to function correctly, though it has not been live-fire tested. The polymer stock is solid with only minor cosmetic marks and scuffs from handling. The Leupold optics are clear, and the adjustment turrets operate smoothly. All six magazines, the soft case, and original packaging are in functional, well-maintained condition.
