Verbatim markings on the packaging include the Hornady logo, item numbers 81246 and 8124, 5.45×39, and 60 gr V-MAX STEEL. Cartridge headstamps are transcribed as HMC and 5.45×39, identifying the Hornady Manufacturing Company and the caliber. Performance specifications provided on the packaging indicate a muzzle velocity of 2810 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 1052 foot-pounds.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in excellent, factory-original condition with clean steel cases and intact polymer tips. The cardboard packaging shows moderate shelf wear, including surface scuffing and softening of the edges and corners. One of the red 50-round boxes has handwritten ink markings on the front panel. All rounds appear to be live and well-preserved, though they have not been function-tested.
