Sold for: $325
Description
This Colt Courier is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, originally designed for target and sporting applications. The firearm features a 22.5-inch blued steel barrel fitted with a front post sight and an adjustable rear notch sight. It is equipped with an under-barrel tubular magazine and two sling swivels for utility. The action is housed in a black-finished alloy receiver, which is paired with a smooth two-piece wood stock and forend. A black synthetic buttplate is attached to the stock, featuring the embossed Colt rampant colt logo. Verbatim markings on the top of the barrel include COURIER — CAL. 22 L.R. flanked by two stars, followed by COLT’S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. on the line below. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the serial number SC13713. While the action appears to cycle, we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel shows moderate wear and light handling marks. The black finish on the receiver exhibits significant signs of use, including numerous deep scratches, scuffs, and widespread finish loss that reveals the silver-toned metal underneath. The wood stock and forend are in fair condition, showing various dings, indentations, and handling marks throughout the finish. The synthetic buttplate remains intact with a clearly legible logo, showing only minor surface abrasions. The bore was not inspected. The mechanical action appears to function correctly but has not been live-fire tested.
