Lot 103:
A Lot of 60 Rounds of .30-06 Springfield Ammunition on Stripper Clips in Canvas Bandolier
Sold for: $55
Description
This lot consists of sixty rounds of .30-06 Springfield ammunition, organized on twelve five-round metal stripper clips and housed within a khaki-colored cotton canvas shoulder bandolier. The ammunition features brass cases and full metal jacket projectiles, conforming to mid-20th-century military specifications for use in firearms such as the M1903 Springfield rifle. The bandolier is constructed of heavy webbing with six individual pockets, each containing cardboard inserts designed to protect and stabilize the ammunition clips. An integrated shoulder strap is attached for ease of transport. While specific headstamps are not clearly visible in the provided images, the caliber is identified by user-provided data as .30-06 Springfield. The collection includes one canvas bandolier and a total of 60 rounds of ammunition.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in live condition. The brass cases and copper-jacketed projectiles exhibit a moderate level of surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with long-term storage in a military-style container. The metal stripper clips show some finish wear and light surface rust. The khaki canvas bandolier remains structurally sound and retains its original color, though it displays age-appropriate wear including minor fraying at the stitched edges and scattered light staining throughout. The cardboard inserts are intact but show shelf wear and minor discoloration.
