Description
This Swedish Model 1894/14 bolt action carbine is chambered for the 6.5x55mm cartridge and is configured for military service. It features a 17.7 inch blued barrel and a full-length wooden stock typical of the model. The metal finish consists of original bluing on the barrel and receiver, with a bright polished steel bolt assembly. The furniture includes a brass stock disk on the right side and an inset leather sling buckle on the left. Sights consist of a protected front blade and a rear tangent sight. A nose cap with an integral bayonet lug is fitted to the muzzle. Key markings include the manufacturer crest on the receiver ring with a crown over CARL GUSTAFS STADS GEVÄRSFAKTORI. 1914. The full serial number 54061 is located on the left receiver rail alongside the HK inspector initials. Swedish crown proofs and the matching partial serial number 061 are present on the bolt shroud, cocking piece, both barrel bands, magazine floorplate, and buttplate. The bolt handle knob is marked 190 and is mismatched to the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The carbine is in good overall condition, exhibiting wear consistent with military use. The blued finish shows thinning and wear on high edges, the barrel, and barrel bands, with some areas transitioning to a greyish patina. The wooden stock displays various dings, scratches, and service-related handling marks but remains structurally sound. The action appears to function correctly with a smooth bolt cycle. The bore was not inspected. The leather buckle is aged and shows surface cracking but remains intact.
