Description

This lot consists of 60 rounds of military surplus 7.62 x 51mm NATO ammunition manufactured in Portugal by Fabrica Nacional de Municoes de Armas Ligeiras (FNM). The ammunition is contained within three original 20-round cardboard boxes. The cartridges feature brass cases and copper-jacketed ball projectiles. Markings on the boxes vary, providing specific production data: the leftmost box is labeled 20 ROUND 7,62 x 51mm BALL FNM 80- 62 with a NATO cross-in-circle symbol; the central box is marked 20 CART. 7,62mm with the NATO symbol, BALL, and FNM-83-14; and the rightmost box is marked 20 ROUND 7,62 x 51mm BALL FNM 80-59 with the NATO symbol. Cartridge headstamps visible in the open box are transcribed verbatim as FNM 83-14 along with the NATO cross-in-circle emblem. This ammunition is consistent with standard NATO specifications for full metal jacket service rounds and was originally intended for use in battle rifles such as the G3 or FAL.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears to be in good, live condition. The brass cases are clean and free of significant oxidation, corrosion, or tarnish. The copper-jacketed projectiles are securely seated and show no signs of damage or lead exposure. The three cardboard boxes show moderate shelf wear, including surface staining, light fraying at the edges, and minor compression at the corners consistent with long-term storage of military surplus material.
