Lot 19:
A Lot of 60 Rounds of .30-06 SPRG Ammunition on Clips with Canvas Bandolier
Sold for: $70
Description
This lot consists of sixty rounds of .30-06 SPRG rifle ammunition, mounted on black metal stripper clips and housed within a military-style canvas bandolier. The cartridges feature rimless, bottlenecked brass cases fitted with copper-jacketed spitzer bullets. The bandolier itself is fashioned from olive drab canvas, divided into six individual pockets, each containing ten rounds held on two five-round clips. Several of the pockets retain their internal cardboard sleeve inserts for structural support and ammunition protection. A wide, integrated canvas strap is attached for carrying. No specific manufacturer markings, headstamps, or caliber stamps are clearly visible on the ammunition or the webbing.
Condition report:
The canvas bandolier shows characteristic signs of age, including general fading of the olive drab color, light staining, and minor fraying at the stitched edges and strap. The cardboard inserts exhibit typical wear, with some softening and minor tearing at the top edges. The ammunition cases show surface tarnish and spots of oxidation consistent with long-term storage, while the jacketed bullets remain seated and appear stable. The ammunition is sold as live rounds but has not been function-tested.
