Sold for: $60
Description
This lot comprises a collection of 99 rounds of Federal American Eagle brand 7.62x39mm Soviet rifle ammunition. The cartridges are fitted with 124-grain metal case bullets, also designated as full metal jacket or FMJ projectiles, seated in reloadable brass casings. The total quantity is distributed across five original cardboard boxes, with four boxes containing a full count of twenty rounds and the final box containing nineteen rounds. Verbatim markings found on the packaging include AMERICAN EAGLE, 7.62 X 39mm SOVIET, 124 GR. METAL CASE BULLET, and NO. A76239A, with further notation of production by the Federal Cartridge Company. The cartridges are organized within red plastic internal trays, and the brass headstamps are clearly stamped with FC and 7.62 x 39.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show moderate shelf wear and aging, including scuffing, minor tearing at the corner flaps, and light surface soiling. The ammunition itself appears to be in clean and well-preserved condition with minor surface oxidation and tarnish present on some of the brass casings. The primers are intact and the projectiles are securely seated.
