Description
This lot consists of five 20-round boxes of Sellier & Bellot 7.62x39mm ammunition, totaling 100 rounds. The ammunition features lacquered steel cases and copper-jacketed full metal jacket projectiles. The cartridges are organized in two distinct packaging styles from the same manufacturer, both indicating production in the Czech Republic. The boxes specify the use of 5.5mm Berdan, non-corrosive, non-erosive primers. Prominent markings on the box labels include Sellier & Bellot, MADE IN CZECH REPUBLIC, 7,62 x 39, and PRIMERS 5,5 mm BERDAN, NON – CORROSIVE, NON – EROSIVE. The newer production boxes further include a C.I.P. proof mark and specify Bullet: Full Point No 2907 and NP 39.51. Visual inspection of the ammunition reveals consistent lacquered finishes on the cases with bright brass-colored primers. The headstamps are clearly marked S & B and 7.62 x 39. This collection is consistent with standard military-specification commercial ammunition intended for rifles chambered in 7.62x39mm.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in very good overall condition and appears to be live. The lacquered steel cases show some minor superficial scuffing from storage but no signs of oxidation or rust. The projectiles are bright and firmly seated. The cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including fraying at the edges, minor corner compression, and visible adhesive tape residue on the top two boxes. The internal rows of the opened box show the cartridges are well-preserved and free of significant environmental damage.
