Description
This lot features a Walther P1 semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm, representing the post-World War II evolution of the P38 design with a lightweight aluminum alloy frame. The pistol is equipped with a 5 inch barrel and features a traditional double-action/single-action operation with a slide-mounted decocking safety. The metal surfaces display a black anodized finish on the frame and a matte black finish on the slide, complemented by black checkered plastic grip panels. The sighting system consists of a fixed front blade and a drift-adjustable rear notch. Key markings on the left side of the slide include the Walther banner logo followed by Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. P1 Cal. 9mm and a partial serial number 629. The full serial number 252629 is clearly stamped on the left side of the frame. The right side of the slide is marked with a 6/64 production date code and military proof marks. An import mark reading PW ARMS, REDMOND WA is located on the front strap of the grip. The lot includes a total of two magazines, both bearing the Walther logo and marked P1 9mm, along with a black leather flap holster stamped internally with 1537 B over 7 / 77. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good used condition with the black anodized and matte finishes showing minor wear on the high edges and muzzle consistent with service use. The plastic checkered grips are well-preserved with no visible cracks or chips. The action appears to function correctly, though the firearm has not been function-tested. Both magazines show light finish wear from insertion and the leather holster remains supple with clear internal stampings. The bore is bright with strong rifling.
