Description

This is a Soviet Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62x54R, representing the standard infantry configuration of the World War II era. The rifle features a round receiver with a dark blued finish consistent with a post-war arsenal refurbishment. The barrel shank is marked with the Soviet hammer and sickle inside a wreath crest, the production year 1942, the Cyrillic serial number ЖС 928, and the Izhevsk arsenal triangle containing an upward-pointing arrow. The bolt body is matching with the serial number ЖС 928 vibro-etched into its side. An import mark is stamped on the right side of the receiver reading M91/30 RUSSIAN 7.62 X 54R C.A.I. GEORGIA VT. 9130022384. The rifle is mounted in a one-piece wood stock with a reddish-brown shellac finish, featuring a straight wrist, finger grooves, and a metal buttplate. It is equipped with a tangent rear sight graduated in meters, a hooded post front sight, and retains its cleaning rod. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The metal surfaces retain a high percentage of their arsenal-applied blued finish, showing typical handling marks and areas of wear on the high edges. The metal buttplate exhibits significant surface oxidation and light pitting. The wood stock is in good overall condition but displays heavy service wear, including numerous dings, scratches, and significant flaking of the shellac finish throughout. The action appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm.
