Lot 238:
A Lot of 431 Rounds of Mixed .30 Carbine Ammunition
Sold for: $425
Description
This lot consists of 431 rounds of loose centerfire ammunition chambered for the .30 Carbine. The cartridges are of mixed manufacture and feature brass casings with copper-jacketed round nose full metal jacket bullets. Visual inspection of the headstamps reveals a variety of manufacturers, with prominent verbatim markings including W-W 30 CARBINE representing Winchester-Western, L C 30 CARBINE indicating Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, W C C 30 CARBINE for Western Cartridge Company, P S 30 CARBINE for Poongsan, FRONTIER 30 CARBINE, and M C 30 CARBINE. The assortment includes a combination of commercial production and military contract surplus rounds. The ammunition is presented as a loose bulk lot without individual boxes or stripper clips.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in generally good condition, with the brass casings showing varying degrees of surface tarnish and light oxidation consistent with age and bulk storage. The copper-jacketed projectiles are mostly clean and correctly seated. All primers appear to be seated and unfired. While the cartridges appear to be live and functional, they have not been tested for performance or reliability.
