Description

This is a Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62x54R, a prolific infantry arm of the Soviet Union. The rifle features a standard 28.7-inch barrel and has been subjected to post-war refurbishment, evident in the dark blued finish and the laminated wood stock with a high-gloss protective coating. It is equipped with standard military sights, including a tangent rear sight and a hooded post front sight. Accessories included are a canvas and leather sling and an aftermarket black rubber slip-on recoil pad. Key markings on the barrel shank include the Izhevsk arsenal symbol of an arrow inside a triangle, the production year 1942, and the serial number Г И 1061. A square with a diagonal line signifies the post-war refurbishment process. The bolt handle is stamped with the matching partial serial number 1061. The receiver bears modern import markings on the right side which read M91/30 RUSSIA 7.62 X 54R / C.A.I. GEORGIA, VT. / 9130133215. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle is in good overall condition, consistent with a refurbished military surplus firearm. The blued finish is strong and uniform across the major components, showing only light handling wear. The laminated stock is well-preserved with a high-gloss finish and typical minor dings from storage and handling. The action appears to function correctly, though it has not been function-tested or test-fired. The aftermarket rubber recoil pad shows light scuffing and a small tear at the upper rear edge. The bore was not visually inspected.
